About the Mini Music Machine music maker
This free online music-making tool makes it easy to generate interesting musical ideas, loops and melodies. Use it by simply activating and tweaking up to 8 synth voices that each consist of a one-note loop. You can control the note, oscillator type, interval, offset, note length, volume, detuning, probability and playback rate for each loop. You'll even find an option to "humanize" each loop by giving it a very slight random variation. The probability setting makes for an easy way to add random variation to your loops and melodies. Overall, this music-making tool makes it easy to generate interesting rhythms and polyrhythms with just a few clicks and come up with interesting musical ideas that can then perhaps be turned into fully fledged songs.
You'll notice that some of the oscillator types naturally sound much louder, so stay mindful of that when trying out different oscillator types, and you can lower the volume on a particular loop to make sure it's not too loud.
If some of the sound design/synthesizing options are still new to you, I suggest just experimenting and seeing how each setting influences the resulting sound and rhythm.
If you're just starting out, a good strategy would be to start with one loop, make it sound good, then layer in additional loops one at a time.
When you're happy with a musical creation and think you may have the next banger on your hands, just hit the record button to start recording a WAV file of what you created. You can even activate or deactivate loops on the fly to create more of a performance. Try using keys 1 through 8 on your keyboard for a very easy way to toggle a particular loop on or off.
Stay tuned for more information coming soon. Also, I'm planning on adding more effect options (thinking of adding vibrato, distortion, bit crusher and phaser effects) as well as explore the possibility of having a MIDI export option, so stay tuned for that as well. ๐
I'd love to hear what you create using this tool and I welcome your feedback, so feel free to get in touch with me here to share.
