🎹 The Lydian augmented scale, also known as the Lydian #5 scale, is a 7-note scale that's based on the Lydian mode and is also the 3rd mode of the melodic minor scale. Compared to the Lydian mode, the Lydian augmented scale has a raised 5th scale degree to arrive at the following interval formula: 1 - 2 - 3 - #4 - #5 - 6 - 7.
