C augmented Chord (Caug) & C augmented 7th Chord on Piano

    A piano keyboard reference for the C augmented chord, abbreviated as Caug or C+.

    The C augmented triad consists of the notes C, E and G♯. The 2 inversions to the C augmented triad are E G# C and G# C E.

    The C augmented 7th chord, abbreviated as Caug7 or C+7, has the notes C, E, G♯ and B♭. The 3 inversions to the C augmented 7th chord are E G# B♭ C, G# B♭ C E and B♭ C E G#.

    In the root position, the C augmented chord has the C as the root, the E as the major third and the G♯ as the augmented fifth. With the C augmented 7th chord there's the addition of B♭ as the minor seventh.
